Anyone else playing catch up this week?
•Posted on March 12 2025

In the last week, I have been playing this really fun game called "lots to do and not enough hours in a day". I am also totally being sarcastic when I say it's really fun.
We got a glimpse of spring here in Minnesota and I decided to start all these house projects along with trying to catch up on life with being gone for 10 days and once I finally adjusted to the 10-hour time difference back home, I got hit with daylight savings (can we please get rid of that rule). Also, we are in mid-March, what the heck!
I feel like I am an all-or-nothing kind of girl. If I get a glimpse of dopamine mixed with sunshine, I will go ahead and start a bunch of different things and then get overwhelmed with all that I have going on. It is a vicious cycle and one I continue to do over and over again.
If you are feeling a bit overwhelmed this week, as I am, I want you to know that the tension is ok and normal. There are seasons of crazy and seasons of rest, and neither lasts forever. Sometimes, we do our best work when we feel that tension.
Take a deep breath, get out that old-school piece of paper, and write your to-do list down. Take one day at a time, and celebrate the little and big accomplishments along the way.
Oh, and if you forget your kid at practice or the fact they even had an event be at, you are absolutely normal and not alone. :) I have done both this week.
May your coffee be strong, and the rest of your week be all worked out beautifully!
With love + friendship, Megan
