August is a special month for me. A beautiful, painful, and memorable one

Back in early 2023, I was living a working life I had built over five years. Co-owner of two boutiques and flower shops, just 30 minutes apart. I had employees and two amazing partners to do life and business with. It was a dream in many ways.

But then… God called me out.

He asked me to step away. Not to something, but from something.

With deep grief, a lot of confusion, and more than a few tearful prayers, I listened. My last day as an owner was June 30, 2023. I walked away without a solid plan, just a whole lot of faith in a really big God.

The only tangible thing I had? A little Etsy shop I opened to sell inventory I bought from our boutique, mostly gifts for the adoption space. That was it. But there’s something about being forced to start from scratch that lights a fire under your booty.

So by that August, I had started a website with the brand You Matter, took an Instagram course with a handle @youmatterbymegan (yes, I had no idea how to use Insta), and I started The Megan May Podcast (yes, very original name, I know 😉)
It was a year of learning. Of failing forward. Of refining and rebranding. Of growing in ways I never expected.

This week, Season 3 of The Megan May Podcast officially launched. 🎉

I’ve slowly been changing and evolving the website, from youmatterboutique.com to the new and improved meganlynnmay.com. It’s been a journey, messy and hard and beautiful, with small glimpses of joy along the way.

So whether you’ve been here since boutique days, followed me from Etsy, or just landed here today, thank you.

This month, I want to reintroduce myself.

I’m still that same Megan from 2023. Just a little stronger, a little more grounded, and a whole lot more sure of who God’s called me to be.

Here’s to the journey. To a new season. And a new chapter in my story.
