I have become a plant person, what the heck!

So most of my adulthood, I haven't been able to keep a plant alive to save my life. So I decided cute fake plants were the way to go and I had them everywhere!
For 4 years, I co-owned a flower shop, never having anything to do with making an arrangement or watering a plant because "It just wasn't my thing"
And then my grandma gave me a plant that was a baby off of a plant from my great grandmas funeral and it was the first plant with meaning behind it and that meaning came with pressure to really try to keep it alive.
So I tried hard. And guess what, it started to grow and thrive.
And then my son came home with this cute little succulent for me for Mothers Day. He watched that thing like a hawk and because it had great meaning to it and I didn't want to break his heart, I tried my hardest to keep it alive and before I knew it, it was growing so much, I had to constantly transplant the babies into new pots and now I have 6 different thriving succulent pots.
Last week, I decided to repaint my Livingroom from a bluish color to a soft grey. What also came with the Livingroom transformation was a whole new look with the most important statement being to start creating a cute wall for my plants. What??? Like who am I??? My husbands shocked face when I asked him to hang up shelves for my plants was the same shock that I had internally as well.
It just goes to show in life, when you are given something that has deep meaning to it, you work harder, you feel it more, and even though you think you have no idea what you are doing, you start to google and learn and grow and before you know it that thing with deep meaning starts to thrive!
It is also how I feel in this season of my life right now. I left the comfort of co-owning a boutique and flower shop and stepped into the thing God placed on my heart. Even though I don't fully understand it, that thing has deep meaning to it and its made me work really hard and do things I never thought I would do in hopes that it will spread and thrive and multiply.
Never in a million years did I think I would be a "real" plant lady.
or a solo online boutique owner able to love on others in the Adoption/Foster communities and help women feel like they matter.
or have a Podcast
or host a Women's Event
But I am here to tell you that if God lays something on your heart with meaning, get to work, trust the journey, learn along the way, enjoy the process, and get ready for it to start thriving.
Love from your crazy plant lady- Megan
