I made the decision to invest in myself this week

I am heading off tonight to a 2-day Christian business conference.

And let me tell you, it was A LOT of work to go.

I had to completely rearrange my work schedule which will now require me to work late evenings and all day on Saturday.

I had to figure out each of my 4 children's schedules, giving a detailed note to my husband to not forget anything or anyone.

I had to organize sleeping arrangements for our toddler due to my husbands job being less flexible and him unable to do morning daycare drop offs.

I will give everyone hugs and deal with how much they will miss me and make me feel a tad bit guilty for not being home to tuck them in or send them off to school for two mornings.

But, you know what???? It is 100% worth it and I am so darn excited to go!

At the end of the day, if I do not make the effort to invest into myself, I will never become the mom, wife, friend, and business leader that I want to be.

I won't learn and grow and invest into a future I want to have. I will not be challenged to lean into my faith walk and grow to be a better Christian.

I mean why wouldn't I go through the work and effort to invest in myself? No one else is going to do it for me.

On top of it, I not only get to hear other like-minded people but my bestie is also doing a speech that you best believe I will be in the front row cheering her on!

So I will ask you today a big question. When is the last time you invested in yourself? If that answer shocks you or isn't what you want it to be, I challenge you this week to take the time, work, and effort to invest into YOU.

You matter and you are worth investing into and you have important people in your life who need you and a big world that needs you as well.
